This is a Special Election Call for VOTES.

Please note : This post has been amended to list the Agency of Record for Service Hubs that are eligible to vote in order to avoid 2 votes from Agencies that are Hub Agencies of Record who are otherwise already listed.

The Maine Continuum of Care has three Tri-Chairs who are each elected to serve a three year term of office. Typically, this means we have one seat up for election each year, but we currently have an unexpected vacancy that will need to be filled by a Special Election. The winner of this Special Election will fill the remainder of the original term, serving until December of 2024, so that we can maintain our regular three year rotation schedule.

As there are multiple candidates for this seat, we have asked the candidates to provide a brief written summary of their background, capacity, and interest in the position. These are attached to this post to give members a chance to learn a bit more about the candidates.

Voting will be conducted electronically from now until September 19th, 2023, ending prior to the next MCOC meeting so that the winner can be announced at that time. Please submit your vote by email to all of the following: Vickey Merrill , Awa Conteh , Scott Tibbitts and Betty LaBua . Please also reach out to all of the above if you have any questions.

Only Eligible Voting Members may vote in the election. Each agency may only cast one vote, regardless of how many people from that agency regularly attend meetings. If your agency has several MCOC attendees, you must decide which one will represent and vote on behalf of the agency. In order to be considered an Eligible Voting Member an agency must have attended at least 6 of the previous 12 full MCOC Meetings. Attendance is tracked by agency, not individual.
