Maine Point-in-Time Count on Jan. 26, 2026

The Maine Point-in-Time Count will take place on the night of Monday, January 26, 2026, as planned. HUD requires that the Count be done within the last 10 days of January, and between the incoming snow and dropping temperatures, there did not seem to be a ‘better’ option than to stick to the original plan.

Hub Coordinators will be reaching out to the volunteers in their areas with additional information and updates on any adjustments to local events and activities. Please reach out directly to your Hub Coordinator if you have any questions.

We realize the bad weather is likely to impact our ability to connect with those who are unsheltered on the night of the count. We do not want anyone to risk their personal health or safety that night. We hope that volunteers will increase their efforts to connect with people during the Service Based initiatives in the days that follow, ensuring that the information collected refers back to the night of the count. Under the circumstances, that will be the best way for us to collect the most, and most accurate, data.

Thank you to everyone who will be participating in the Point-in-Time Count! We could not do this without you!
