Maine Continuum of Care Membership Update

As we approach the end of summer in Maine and anticipate a busy fall, we have exciting opportunities for individuals interested in MCoC membership to get involved.

Earlier this year, as part of the MCoC restructuring, we transitioned to quarterly Full Membership meetings. The next Full Membership meeting will be held virtually on October 16th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Additionally, an exciting new Membership Committee has been established, with Nicole Frydrych as Chair. The first remote meeting for the Membership Committee will be held on Monday, September 15th, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Join the meeting now

Please enter your personal information and ensure you select the Membership Committee so that you may be added to the contact list You can sign up for other committees there as well.

During months when the Full Membership is not meeting, we will establish and maintain a robust training program. More information on the trainings will be forthcoming from the new Membership Committee.

The role of the MCoC Membership Committee is to:

*   Welcome new members to the Maine Continuum of Care each year.
*   Orient new members to the business of the MCoC.
*   Provide training to staff, volunteers, and community members to strengthen our ability to house people and to prevent homelessness.
*   Identify membership gaps and needs to increase geographic participation and population representation.
