Congratulations to the New and Renewal MCOC Project Applicants who were awarded funding in today’s announcement, below, from HUD. All of our Renewals were, well, Renewed! Sadly, not all of our New Project proposals were funded, or fully funded, but we knew we were asking for more than we were likely to get when we submitted the applications. Still, all in all, this is good news for the state of Maine and for the people we serve. Thank you all for the hard work and dedication that made these awards possible.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced today $2.645 billion in FY 2021 Continuum of Care (CoC) Competition Awards to approximately 7,000 local homeless housing and service programs across the U.S. and its territories. These CoC grants provide funding for efforts by nonprofit providers, states, and local governments to quickly rehouse individuals and families experiencing homelessness and provide support while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness.
